TTouch Workshops

A TTouch workshop teaches people how to do TTouch on their animals.
It can help to heal a problem, to reassure or just to create a bond with him.
TTouch comprises of Body Work and Ground Work.
The Body work is done very gently with your hand doing TTouch movements all over the animals body. This can help a sick animal or an animal who has had surgery, it will help to lower stress levels and cope with pain and numerous other problems that an animal may have.
The Ground Work is to get your animal more alert and to 'think' It also helps with balance and weight distribution, making the animal very aware of its own body.
Details of upcoming events will be listed below. Further information on courses, workshops and TTouch in general is available by contacting me.

Just a quick note to say thank you so much for the workshop in Killorglin, Co. Kerry It was a great day and very much enjoyed.
You have such energy and integrity in your training that it was a very special day. I haven’t had a chance yet to start reading my books ( bought on the day) but am really looking forward to them. Best wishes for success in future workshops, Eileen Thanks so much again for a very special weekend. It was fantastic fun ! - Saskia |
Great day. I was worried because Boo was so stressed but it turned out to be brilliant because I got to experience first hand the success of using a body wrap. Used TOUCH today on a new dog , he loved it. He took to it straight away... Groomer Michelle |
"Just got back a while ago from a fantastic day learning Tellington Touch with Micky Parker at one of her workshops. If you've never tried it, it's well worth a go. I learned techniques to help my springer with stress from noise sensitivity as well as doing some groundwork with body wrap & double-ended lead to help balance him so that he doesn't pull me down the road every time we go for a walk Micky is an amazing teacher. Also thanks to Dublin North Dog Training Club for inviting Micky along and giving me the opportunity to try it out. I'll definitely be putting it to use & hope to do some more training in the future. Thoroughly enjoyable day & great to meet everyone." Ann Marie - dog owner & groomer I had a very stressed dog who is absolutely terrified of all things grooming in a couple of weeks ago, the owner stayed & left with scrapes all over her chest & arms. He came in today to try some desensitising. I thought I'd try a bit of TTouch expecting him to freak. He loved it! I turned on the dryer just before he left while giving plenty of treats & praise & he hardly flinched. Coming back next week for some more. Fingers crossed all goes well & I'll get to do a full groom soon! Groomer Olive |
Important note for workshop attendee'sThe emphasis of this Workshop is to give a hands-on introduction to TTouch. The aim is to give the opportunity to practice with each other and with participating dogs so that everybody takes away some practical skills.
We actively encourage participants to bring a dog to the Workshop. However, please be aware that we will not be working with all of the dogs all of the time so he/she needs to be able to spend time in the hall working and time quietly in your car in our secure car park or indoor kennel to rest, without becoming unduly stressed. You do not have to bring a dog to this Workshop to participate fully with the practice |
